With a stunning all-year-round terrace overlooking a picturesque green and a culinary offering spanning breakfast through to late-night spritzes, Café Linea is set to become a modern classic on London’s dining scene.
We are now hiring an experienced, charismatic Host/Hostess to lead the guest experience from the very first “hello.” If you’re driven by people, service, and the excitement of shaping a new hospitality brand, we want to hear from you.
Your Role – What You’ll Do
As our Host/Hostess, you’ll be the first point of contact for every guest and the anchor of our front-of-house operations. You’ll combine poise, professionalism, and warmth to deliver a truly memorable welcome, while ensuring the smooth coordination of reservations and guest flow throughout each service.
Guest Relations & Service

Greet every guest with genuine hospitality and a welcoming smile

Manage seating and table rotation using SevenRooms (or similar)

Coordinate reservations, walk-ins, and special requests across multiple service periods
-
Communicate clearly with servers and kitchen to maintain pace and guest satisfaction

Support menu introductions and seasonal promotions at the door

Maintain an organised, elegant reception area and guest-first mindset

Thank and farewell guests, building lasting rapport and encouraging return visits
Team Collaboration & Operational Oversight

Work closely with management to optimise floor plans and guest experience

Support in managing event enquiries, shift scheduling, and feedback loops

Lead by example, especially during peak shifts – calm, positive, and composed

Maintain records of guest preferences and use data to personalise service

Champion service steps and standards that align with the Café Linea brand
Continuous Improvement & Standards

Identify and implement improvements to guest flow and FOH efficiency

Support private events and work closely with Events by Linea team

Ensure high standards of cleanliness, health & safety, and compliance

Proactively resolve guest concerns or feedback with professionalism
