About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Scientific Support Technician to join our Veterinary Services group. This crucial role supports the work of veterinary staff in post-mortem examinations and diagnostic services. The successful applicant will play an important part in ensuring quality assurance, safety, and accurate lab processing in compliance with ISO17025 standards.
Key Responsibilities

Assist Veterinary Investigation Officers in the post-mortem (PM) room

Process diagnostic samples from PM exams and clinical submissions

Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety protocols and SOPs
-
Perform daily equipment checks and housekeeping duties
-
Participate in internal and external quality assurance (IQA/EQA) activities

Contribute to overall lab efficiency and result integrity
Minimum Qualifications

Educated to SCQF Level 5 (or equivalent), including English, Maths, and a Science subject

Experience working in a lab or clinical setting is an advantage

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs
