About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Editorial Assistant to support our medical books publishing team, working closely with a Publisher and Commissioning Editor. The role involves a mix of administrative, editorial, and project coordination tasks, offering direct exposure to the publishing process and professionals in medicine and academia.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate communication with authors, editors, and contributors

Manage manuscript submissions, deadlines, and author queries

Handle contracts, permissions, and author payments

Assist with copywriting and image research for book covers

Attend occasional conferences on behalf of the Publisher/Editor

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organisation, time management, and multitasking abilities

Detail-oriented with a proactive and flexible mindset

Collaborative team player comfortable working across departments

Interest in medical or scientific publishing is a plus

Experience in an office or administrative setting is desirable
