About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and motivated Medical Receptionist / Administrator to join our friendly team at The Crown Medical Centre, a well-established GP practice serving approximately 10,500 patients. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a supportive and forward-thinking primary care team in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Answer patient calls and direct queries appropriately

Book appointments and manage the EMIS Web appointment system

Maintain and update medical records accurately

Assist patients with online consultation forms for GP triage

Process repeat prescription requests in coordination with the pharmacy team

Operate the telephone system professionally and efficiently

Work collaboratively with the clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
Essential:
-
GCSE in English and Maths (Grade 4 or above or equivalent)

Customer service experience

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Confidence using IT systems, email, and Microsoft Office

Highly motivated and able to work under pressure

Flexible and dependable team player
Desirable:

Experience working in an NHS or primary care setting

Familiarity with EMIS Web or general practice software

Previous experience in a healthcare or administrative role
