Responsibilities

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the Accounting & Finance Manual and apply its principles in daily operations.

  • Execute the month-end close process, including the preparation of financial statements, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

  • Coordinate and prepare monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet and bank accounts, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items.

  • Complete daily, monthly, and periodic accounting and financial reporting tasks accurately and on schedule.

  • Participate in physical inventory counts and ensure the accuracy of quantity, pricing, and valuation.

  • Assist in preparing month-end journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts.

  • Conduct audits of vacation and medical deductions on a periodic basis.

  • Develop supporting schedules and workpapers for P&L and balance sheet accounts to facilitate internal and external audits.

  • Maintain proficiency across all finance functions to provide departmental support as needed during employee absences.

  • Adhere to records control and document retention policies per hotel procedures.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director of Finance.

  • Oversee and ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll, general ledger, accounts payable, and cashiering functions.

  • Assist department and division heads in analyzing discrepancies highlighted by labor productivity reports.

  • Ensure accurate capture and posting of all room, F&B outlet, banquet, and miscellaneous revenue streams.

  • Collaborate with Shared Services to complete daily operational tasks efficiently.

  • Independently manage finance sections such as Accounts Payable and General Cashiering to develop a holistic understanding of the hospitality accounting cycle.


Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (hospitality finance experience is a strong plus)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a high-pressure environment

  • Willingness to work weekends as needed

  • Skilled in negotiation, delegation, and problem-solving

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and comfortable using email and internet tools
