About the Role
OpenTable is looking for a Payroll Specialist – Americas to join our dynamic Finance Team in Norwalk. You’ll be part of a motivated and collaborative group that values accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement—while also knowing how to have a little fun along the way.

What You’ll Do

Process North American payrolls accurately and on time using ADP Workforce Now, Cloudpay, or through coordination with external payroll vendors

Ensure timely and precise employee payments in accordance with established payroll schedules

Maintain full compliance with payroll-related regulations and reporting obligations, including taxes, social security, fringe benefits, stock-based compensation, global mobility, and year-end filings

Partner with internal teams—HR, Accounting, Tax, Legal, and Finance Operations—to ensure comprehensive payroll oversight

Investigate and resolve payroll-related inquiries, compliance concerns, and reporting or accounting discrepancies

Serve as the internal payroll expert for all vendor-managed services

Collaborate with HR Operations to ensure seamless data integration and address issues with practical solutions

Support payroll-related audits, special projects, and continuous process improvement initiatives

Manage and maintain relationships with third-party payroll service providers
What We’re Looking For
-
Strong knowledge and interest in payroll systems, HR/Accounting platforms—Cloudpay, ADP Workforce Now, NetSuite, and Workday experience preferred

Professional certification in payroll (CPP or equivalent) and/or accounting credentials preferred

Experience processing payroll for countries including United States, Mexico, and Canada

Proven track record in managing payroll accurately, on time, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements

Deep technical expertise in payroll processes, with a strong foundation in international payroll and compliance

Demonstrated success improving payroll workflows or systems

Solid understanding of end-to-end payroll operations, including data flow, systems, reporting, and accounting impacts

Ability to manage and collaborate with external payroll vendors effectively
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional presence across all organizational levels

Highly organized, detail-focused, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-moving environment

Compensation & Pay Transparency
The hourly range for this U.S.-based position is $35 to $40, with final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus. Benefits also include:
