Position Overview:
A reputable company based in Jurupa Valley is looking to hire a knowledgeable and detail-driven Certified Payroll Specialist for a contract role, with potential for permanent placement. This position focuses on the preparation, review, and timely submission of certified payroll reports in full compliance with federal and state regulations. It’s a great opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment and can immediately contribute.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in line with prevailing wage laws such as Davis-Bacon and California DIR requirements.

Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and labor regulations.

Accurately maintain records for hours worked, pay rates, job classifications, and project codes.

Partner with HR and project managers to confirm job titles, classifications, and wage details.

Submit required payroll documentation to government agencies and clients within established deadlines.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to payroll reporting.

Stay up to date on current laws and changes in certified payroll and labor compliance.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on certified payroll experience.

Strong knowledge of prevailing wage laws and labor compliance standards.

Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP, Paycom, or similar platforms, and strong Excel skills.

High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and meet tight reporting deadlines.
