Role Overview
We are seeking a Trainee Legal Cashier to join our Finance Department in Lincoln. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in legal finance, with full training and ongoing support provided.
You will assist in the accurate processing of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with the Solicitor’s Accounts Rules, and contribute to the smooth running of the firm’s financial operations.
Key Responsibilities

Support daily banking and reconciliation of bank statements

Assist with processing client and office transactions, including cheque preparation

Help prepare and verify client bills

Support nominal payment request input under supervision

Assist with electronic and cheque payment runs

Process internal bank transfers with senior guidance

Help handle travel and expense claims

Answer basic finance-related queries from staff and clients
-
Assist with card payment processing and petty cash reconciliation

Support preparation of financial reports and general finance tasks
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Qualifications

GCSE Grade C / Grade 4 or above in English and Maths

Strong communication and organisational skills
