About the Role

As a Hardware Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in system-level bring-ups, debugging, and validation efforts for cutting-edge technology. This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure product performance, reliability, and testability throughout the development cycle.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead prototype bring-up and resolve complex system- and board-level issues.

  • Conduct system-level testing, analyze results, and document findings.

  • Develop and execute test plans for new features, recommending automation strategies for efficient testing and result archiving.

  • Collaborate with architecture and design teams to ensure that new products are functional, serviceable, manufacturable, and meet reliability standards.

  • Partner with validation, firmware, and software engineers to test and refine in-development products.

  • Evaluate design changes and assess their impact on test strategies and plans.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Science, or related field (Master’s preferred), or equivalent professional experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in a product development setting.

  • Solid understanding of x86 and ARM architectures, with practical experience in hardware/software debugging.

  • Familiarity with BMC (Baseboard Management Controllers) and server management processors.

  • Experience in system validation, including high-speed I/O interconnects and PCI-Express switching.

  • Proficiency with Cadence Allegro tools, including Concept HDL schematic design and PCB layout.

  • Skilled in using oscilloscopes and diagnostic tools (e.g., Tektronix, Agilent) for board-level troubleshooting.


Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with DC/DC power supply design.

  • Working knowledge of Linux environments, command-line interfaces, and scripting or programming languages.
