Position Overview

The Associate Lead plays a key role in supporting store management in the day-to-day operations to ensure exceptional customer experiences and drive store profitability. This position assists in sales activities, oversees register transactions, and provides leadership and guidance to store associates.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Sales Support

  • Champion excellent customer service by ensuring associates greet and assist customers, resolving inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.

  • Engage with customers on the sales floor, recommending merchandise and building strong client relationships through wardrobing and clienteling.

  • Demonstrate and model effective selling techniques to drive individual and team performance.

Store Operations

  • Assist with operational tasks such as cash handling, price changes, inventory management, and store opening/closing duties.

  • Oversee timekeeping accuracy, payroll-related documentation, and reporting.

  • Monitor associate productivity and provide coaching to optimize performance.

  • Stay informed on current promotions and sales initiatives and ensure proper merchandise presentation.

  • Assist with receiving inventory, supply dispatch, and merchandise replenishment in accordance with company guidelines.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and support team members in daily activities, including sales, cash reconciliation, and customer service.

  • Prepare weekly associate schedules that align with fiscal requirements and ensure adequate sales floor coverage.

  • Provide input for associate performance evaluations and coach team members using Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that reflects the company’s values and culture.

Visual Standards & Loss Prevention

  • Execute and support monthly visual merchandising directives and standards.

  • Maintain store presentation, inventory security, and adherence to operational policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • 2+ years of retail or sales leadership experience preferred

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of store operations and administrative functions

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and maneuver on the sales floor and stockroom

  • Regular attendance is essential to meet business and staffing needs

  • Willingness to travel to other stores in the district as needed


Compensation & Benefits

  • Wage Range: $16.00–$20.00/hour (based on qualifications and experience)
