What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and maintain collaborative, trust-based partnerships with executives, managers, and key stakeholders across the organization to support and execute HR strategies aligned with both immediate and long-term business objectives.

  • Serve as a cultural advocate, partnering with leadership to nurture and evolve Abbott’s dynamic workplace culture.

  • Design and implement initiatives and content that reinforce our values and strengthen Abbott’s reputation as an employer of choice.

  • Operate autonomously while ensuring full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as internal policies and procedures.

  • Act as a strategic advisor to managers, regularly consulting to identify workforce needs and recommend solutions to enhance employee engagement and organizational performance.

  • Lead and support change management efforts and communication strategies within your designated business unit.

  • Advise leadership on complex employee relations issues, offering solutions that have significant organizational impact.

  • Collaborate with HR leadership and business stakeholders on workforce planning—analyzing resource needs, identifying talent gaps, and coordinating with Centers of Excellence to implement targeted strategies.

  • Work alongside HRBP Leaders to assess organizational challenges and recommend interventions that promote effectiveness. Champion and facilitate change initiatives, including organizational restructuring efforts.

  • Promote open communication and maintain strong, respectful relationships with employees at all levels.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience as an HR Business Partner.

  • Comprehensive understanding of core HR disciplines.

  • Proven track record in identifying talent needs and developing effective, collaborative HR solutions.

  • Ability to influence and shape organizational culture, driving measurable business results.

  • Strong expertise in change management.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.

  • Skilled at managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.

  • Strong analytical and sound decision-making capabilities.

  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that embraces diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and HR regulatory requirements.
