Are you an experienced professional with a background in vocational trades or care? Do you want to make a real impact on the lives of young people by sharing your knowledge and skills?
We’re a new vocational school opening this November, committed to supporting students aged 11–16—many with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are looking for passionate Vocational Instructors to deliver practical, skills-based learning that prepares students for further education, apprenticeships, or employment.
Role Overview:
As a Vocational Instructor, you’ll:

Deliver engaging, hands-on sessions in your area of expertise

Support student development in life skills and functional skills

Adapt content for various learning styles and needs

Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff

Maintain a safe, respectful, inclusive learning environment

Help students overcome barriers to learning and build resilience
Teaching qualification not required – training will be provided for the right candidate.
What We’re Looking For:

Strong practical experience in at least one relevant vocational area
-
Level 3 qualification in Teaching & Learning or your trade

A positive, encouraging attitude and a passion for working with young learners

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

A calm, flexible approach to behaviour management

Teaching or Assessor qualification (desirable, not essential)
