Position Summary
As a Welder at Oceaneering, you’ll play a critical hands-on role in our manufacturing process while maintaining high safety and quality standards. You’ll report directly to the Shift Manager and act as a role model to your team, supporting productivity, process improvement, and operational safety.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance:

Adhere to all Oceaneering safety procedures, including Life Saving Rules and Toolbox Talks.

Read and understand risk assessments before beginning any task.

Contribute to investigations and incident reporting using proper protocols.
Operations & Production:
-
Support and lead manufacturing tasks, achieving daily performance targets.

Highlight process issues to maintenance, QA, and Engineering teams.

Complete pre-task checks using Clean Sweep or Preprocess Audit techniques.

Ensure proper documentation and data accuracy within the production package.

Adhere to inspection plans and support client witness or hold points.
Team Collaboration & Development:

Engage in mentoring, assessments, and development of new personnel.

Work flexibly across departments and shifts as required.

Participate in Engineering Handovers and Design Reviews.

Support continuous improvement by offering constructive feedback.
Equipment & Materials Handling:
-
Prepare tools, materials, and work areas before starting tasks.

Report and return unused or missing kit to stores.
-
Maintain housekeeping and leave the work area safe and clean.
Required Qualifications & Skills
-
Background in heavy manufacturing environment
-
TIG welding experience is essential
-
MMA welding experience preferred
-
Knowledge of small-bore tubing is a plus
-
NVQ / SVQ in Welding or equivalent
-
Basic I.T. skills (Excel, Word)

Ability to read and follow procedures

Willingness to mentor and support others
