An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Trainee Metal Sheet Fabricator to join our expanding business based in Woodston, Peterborough. We specialise in manufacturing high-quality metal façades and roofing systems for the construction industry, supplying projects across the UK and occasionally internationally.
This role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in engineering or fabrication and a passion for learning. Whether you have prior experience in a workshop setting or are looking to build a long-term career in fabrication, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a trainee, you’ll work alongside experienced fabricators and machine operators to learn how to produce precision metal products. You will be trained on a range of specialist equipment, including:

Press brakes

Guillotines
-
CNC punches
-
Folding machines
-
Welding tools (mainly aluminium and steel)
You will also:

Support the production of bespoke architectural components

Follow job sheets and supervisor instructions

Ensure a tidy and safe workshop environment

Assist with quality control and problem-solving in production

We’re seeking a motivated, hands-on individual who enjoys working in a small team environment and takes pride in seeing their work contribute to real projects. Ideal candidates will:

Have some engineering/workshop experience (preferred but not essential)

Be eager to learn and operate a variety of in-house machinery

Location & Relocation
