About the Role

SC Engineering is seeking a skilled Robot Welder/Programmer to join our fast-paced manufacturing team in Lisburn, County Antrim. This hands-on role involves both programming and operating robotic welding systems and performing manual welding (MIG & TIG) when needed. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our production runs efficiently and safely while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program and design robotic welding operations for production

  • Set up and calibrate robotic welders for specific jobs

  • Troubleshoot and maintain robotic welding equipment

  • Support integration and debugging of welding systems on the shop floor

  • Perform manual MIG and TIG welding when required

  • Weld and fabricate using materials including aluminium, stainless steel, brass, and standard steel

  • Accurately interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols

  • Set up welding fixtures and position parts using clamps, bolts, and tack welds

  • Weld aluminium concrete forms with precision to specification

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in robotic welding setup and programming

  • Strong manual MIG and TIG welding skills

  • Ability to read technical drawings and apply welding standards

  • Familiarity with various metals including aluminium, stainless steel, and mild steel

  • Knowledge of welding safety practices and protocols

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with the wider production team

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work

  • Experience with Olympus Cobots is a plus – full training will be provided
