About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our on-site engineering team. In this critical role, you will help ensure the reliability and smooth operation of our mechanical systems and production equipment. You’ll work on preventative and corrective maintenance, support installation activities, and contribute to continuous improvement and site safety.
Key Responsibilities

Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment to ensure maximum uptime.

Conduct inspections, identify faults, and carry out preventative maintenance tasks.

Support the assembly and installation of new equipment and systems.

Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment specifications.

Participate in team-based problem solving and root cause analysis.

Follow all safety policies, risk assessments, and procedures to promote a safe working environment.

Participate in the on-call rota, currently working one weekend out of five.
Requirements

HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Prior experience as a maintenance fitter or technician in an industrial setting.

Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery.

Proficiency with hydraulic systems, welding, and fabrication techniques.

Strong understanding of technical drawings and maintenance documentation.

Familiarity with preventative maintenance systems (e.g., CMMS software).

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused mindset.

Flexibility to respond to call-outs and emergency maintenance.
