Role Overview: Weld Team Lead

We’re seeking a proactive and experienced Weld Team Lead to manage operations within our welding department at the Lurgan facility. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you’ll lead a team focused on delivering high-quality output, while ensuring safety, training, and productivity standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and motivate welding staff to achieve high standards in Health & Safety, product quality, and efficiency

  • Be hands-on in MIG/TIG welding, with high attention to detail

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations; promote a culture of zero lost-time incidents

  • Maintain training records and mentor new team members

  • Support Works Order management through Epicor system

  • Conduct on-site services as required

  • Encourage continuous improvement and raise safety observations proactively

Essential Criteria:

  • 3+ years of welding experience

  • 1+ year of team leadership or supervisory experience

  • Formal qualification in Welding/Fabrication

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)

  • Ability to work rotating shifts
