We are now seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Fitter to join our UK team. In this critical role, you will help ensure the reliability and safety of our mechanical systems and production lines. Your Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective mechanical maintenance on a variety of production equipment and systems

• Conduct routine inspections to identify faults or areas for improvement

• Assist with the installation and assembly of new machinery and equipment

• Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance records and equipment documentation

• Interpret and work from mechanical drawings and schematics

• Follow all company safety procedures, including risk assessments and hazard identification

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate effectively with the maintenance and operations teams

• Be available for on-call or weekend work as part of the department’s scheduled rota

What We’re Looking For

• HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification

• Proven experience in a maintenance fitter or mechanical technician role within an industrial or manufacturing environment

• Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, welding, and fabrication techniques

• Skilled in using a wide range of hand and power tools

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and mechanical schematics

• Familiarity with preventative maintenance systems and equipment reliability practices

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward equipment upkeep

• Team-oriented with solid communication skills

• Flexibility to work additional hours when needed (on a 1-in-5 weekend rota basis)
