Job Overview

Lea Valley Academy is seeking a committed and dynamic Sixth Form Student Manager to join our growing student support services team from September 2025.

This important, student-facing role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young people and want to make a tangible difference in their academic journey and wellbeing. It is particularly suited for someone considering a future in teaching or student support.

You will be the main point of contact for Sixth Form students, offering guidance, managing behaviour, and encouraging high aspirations and independent learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily pastoral and academic support to Sixth Form students

  • Work closely with the Sixth Form Progress Leader to monitor and encourage student progress

  • Support positive behaviour, attendance, and welfare across the year group

  • Promote ambition, responsibility, and motivation in students

  • Engage with parents/carers and external agencies where necessary
