Your Responsibilities
Subject Leadership
-
Promote Science across the school and ensure it links to whole-school priorities
-
Lead curriculum planning, sequencing and assessment for Science
-
Support teachers across departments in delivering high-quality Science lessons
-
Monitor pupil progress and implement effective interventions
-
Support careers education through Science, especially at KS4 & KS5
Teaching & Learning

Deliver inspiring, differentiated Science lessons tailored to learners’ needs
-
Promote pupils’ spiritual, moral, cultural, physical, and social development
-
Engage with parents, colleagues, and external professionals to maximise progress
-
Ensure lessons reflect British values and support independence and life skills
Person Specification
Essential
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Excellent subject knowledge in Science
-
Commitment to inclusive and person-centred teaching
-
Ability to plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons
-
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Desirable
-
Experience teaching autistic children or in a SEND environment

Experience leading a subject or curriculum area
