Role Purpose:
Music Stuff Education School is seeking a resilient, creative, and experienced English Teacher to deliver an engaging curriculum to young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and social communication challenges. Many of our students have experienced disrupted education, and we are looking for someone who can combine academic support with empathy, consistency, and care.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality, tailored English lessons for pupils with SEMH and SEND

Use a trauma-informed approach to build safe, trusting relationships and manage classroom behaviour

Assess and track student progress, adapting strategies to meet individual learning needs

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies

Promote both academic development and self-confidence through your teaching

Support enrichment activities and contribute to wider school improvement initiatives
About Music Stuff Education School:

What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience teaching pupils with SEMH and SEND, ideally in a specialist or alternative setting

Strong understanding of trauma-informed practices

Flexibility, resilience, and a passion for inclusive education

Ability to adapt the curriculum and engage learners with a variety of needs
