Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, consistent, and high-quality school swimming lessons

  • Support individuals and groups with varying swimming abilities

  • Foster confidence and enthusiasm in learners

  • Liaise with departments and parents to support student progress

  • Maintain a welcoming and professional poolside environment

  • Adhere to safeguarding and behaviour policies

  • Accurately record and complete relevant swimming awards

Requirements

  • STA Award/Certificate or Swim England Level 2 Qualification in Teaching Swimming (required)

  • National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers & Coaches (preferred)

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies

  • Friendly, approachable, and motivational teaching style

  • Passion for swimming and supporting pupils to succeed
