Key Responsibilities
As a Driver on our team, your responsibilities will include:

Safe Vehicle Operation: Operate company vehicles, including vans and flatbed lorries, in a safe, responsible, and efficient manner in accordance with traffic laws and company policies.

Pre-Trip Checks: Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness. Report any mechanical issues immediately.

Loading & Unloading: Load, secure, and unload goods with care to prevent damage in transit. Ensure all deliveries are properly documented.

Route Management: Plan and follow optimal routes using provided schedules or navigation tools to maximize time efficiency and fuel economy.

Customer Interaction: Serve as the face of the company during deliveries. Communicate with customers professionally, respond to questions or concerns, and ensure overall satisfaction with the delivery experience.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, fuel consumption, mileage, hours worked, and any delivery discrepancies.

Support Operations: When not driving, assist with general warehouse duties such as inventory management, packaging, or goods preparation.
Key Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
Essential Skills

A valid UK manual driving licence (B category) with no more than 6 penalty points

Demonstrated experience operating various vehicle types, especially vans and flatbed lorries

Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting

Excellent time management skills with a strong ability to adhere to tight delivery schedules

High level of customer service and communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members

Comfortable working independently and managing tasks with minimal supervision

Physically fit and capable of lifting, loading and unloading heavy items, moving cages, and working on your feet
Preferred Experience

Previous work as a delivery driver, commercial driver, or in a logistics role

Experience with warehouse operations, inventory handling, or goods dispatching

Familiarity with basic IT systems or handheld delivery tracking devices
