Programme Coordinator – International Public Health
The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) is a world-renowned institution committed to improving global health outcomes. We are currently seeking a highly organised Programme Coordinator to support a portfolio of international public health research projects within the Administration and Programmes Team (ADAPT).
You will play a key role in managing project workflows, liaising with partners, coordinating events, and ensuring the timely delivery of research and reporting outputs.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Management
-
Coordinate development and monitoring of project workplans
-
Organise international/national meetings and training events
-
Prepare meeting documentation and minute meetings
-
Assist in the editing of reports, proposals, and supporting materials
Monitoring & Evaluation
-
Oversee reporting, closure, and evaluation procedures
-
Manage documentation of risks, lessons learned, and funder communications
-
Support compliance with funder requirements
Financial Management
-
Process invoices, expenses, and monitor project budgets
-
Liaise with finance teams and review partner financial reports
-
Assist in developing and maintaining accurate budget forecasts
Travel & Event Logistics
-
Oversee travel arrangements for staff and collaborators
-
Organise venues, bookings, and hospitality for project-related events
-
Ensure financial reconciliation for travel and event costs
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
-
A-levels or equivalent in business administration or related field
-
Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
-
Experience in financial administration and project coordination
-
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
-
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in complex environments
-
Experience working in international collaborations (preferably research)
