Role Summary
We’re hiring a Finance Manager to support the CFO with hands-on operational finance responsibilities across multiple international entities. You’ll lead the month-end process, manage a skilled finance team, and ensure our growing business runs efficiently and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting, Tax & Compliance
-
Oversee month-end processes across UK and global entities
-
Prepare financial statements in line with UK/US GAAP
-
Submit VAT (UK), BAS/GST (Australia), and PVA returns
-
Manage intercompany transactions and FX entries
-
Lead audit prep and manage compliance with HMRC and others
-
Supervise a team of 3: UK Management Accountant, Assistant Accountant, and Australian Management Accountant
2. Operational Efficiency
-
Streamline finance processes and identify efficiencies
-
Oversee cash flow, AR/AP, payroll, and tax compliance
-
Monitor purchase orders, stock levels, and COGS adjustments
-
Support risk management and hedging activities
3. Team Leadership & Development
-
Build and coach a high-performing finance team
-
Hold regular 1:1s, set goals, and manage performance
-
Coordinate month-end schedules and support during absences
-
Deliver actionable insights for strategic decision-making
Candidate Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
-
ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
-
Background in high-growth, consumer-focused environments
-
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (preferred)
-
Proven experience with operational accounting (AR, AP, payroll)
-
Skilled in intercompany reconciliations and FX management
Tools & Tech
-
Proficiency in Xero and QuickBooks
-
Knowledge of Shopify, Stripe, and Spotlight Reporting is a plus
