We’re excited to recruit enthusiastic Catering Assistants to join our brand-new in-house catering team at Ormiston Victory Academy. Be part of a welcoming, fast-paced team where your work makes a real difference.

We’re offering flexible part-time contracts between 25–32.5 hours per week, working term-time plus 5 additional days, making this an ideal role for those seeking a balanced schedule during school terms.

 About the Role

As a Catering Assistant, you will:

  • Prepare and serve meals that encourage healthy eating

  • Support a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment

  • Assist in daily food prep and lunchtime service

  • Maintain hygiene standards and follow food safety protocols

  • Ensure all food areas are well-stocked and compliant

  • Work positively and collaboratively with a close-knit team

  • Contribute to a friendly, student-focused dining experience

 About You

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Bring a can-do, positive attitude and a willingness to learn

  • Show a passion for excellent customer service and healthy food

  • Be reliable, well-organised, and able to manage their time well

  • Work confidently under pressure and within a busy team

  • Prioritise health and safety in every aspect of their role

  • Be open to training and development

  • Previous catering experience is helpful but not essential
