Resident Care Aide

We are looking for a Resident Care Aide to join our team

Responsibilities:
– Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
– Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
– Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
– Monitor and report any changes in residents’ physical or mental health
– Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
– Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
– Escort residents to appointments or activities outside of the facility
– Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures

Qualifications:
– Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings is preferred
– Knowledge of caregiving techniques and principles of senior care
– Ability to communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other staff members
– Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with seniors
– Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and empathy
– Basic knowledge of medication administration procedures
– Understanding of dementia care practices is a plus
