We are looking for a Health Care Aide to join our team

Qualifications:

The applicant must be registered with the BC Care Aide registry. Applicants who are not registered with the BC Care Aide Registry will not be considered.

Ability to work well with seniors, their families and the public

Tact, sound judgment, confidentiality, patience, reliability, and the ability to treat staff and residents with respect and dignity

Excellent spoken and written communication skills

Valid First Aid Certificate

Basics of Medication course

Must be able to pass a criminal record check

Must have proof of Covid-19 vaccinations, proof of TB test and Vaccination and Immunization history

Must be reliable, show up for your shift and show up on time.

Duties:
The duties are basic: Medication administration, bath assist and dress assist. No lifts, no Transfers, not hectic pace. You will also respond to any emergencies in the building.

You must be able to work alone without direct supervision, and you are also part of a multidisciplinary team that supports the social, physical, and nutritional needs of our residents.
