JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform thorough physical inventory counts on a regular basis to identify and rectify any discrepancies in stock levels.
- Utilize inventory data and reports to proactively identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Work closely with management and store staff to address inventory issues and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
- Utilize inventory management software and reports to track movements, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor and uphold standardized inventory management procedures, including receiving, stocking, and cycle counting.
- Investigate inventory shrinkage, identify root causes, and recommend preventive measures to mitigate losses.
- Actively participate in cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies in inventory management to continually improve processes.
SKILLS THE CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR
- 2+ years experience in a related inventory control, receiving, purchasing or related field.
- Completion of College or University Degree or Diploma (Ideally in a business, logistics or related field).
- Strong overall computer skills – comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Experience with Warehouse/Inventory Management systems highly valued.
WORK ENVIORNMENT, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Type of Role: Full-time permanent (40 hours) – evening and/or overtime work required when necessary.
- Work Environment: Occasionally lifting (up to 50 lbs), ability to climb ladder, constantly on feet- walking/standing/climbing, may be working in refrigerated area, noise level may exceed 80 decibels.
- Travel 75%+: Travel to head office for meetings/trainings, travel to various store locations for inventory audits as required.
