Job Title: Financial Analyst II
Dates: ASAP to Nov. 28/25
Hours: (Mon – Fri) 9:00am – 5:00pm
Pay Rate: $31.35/hour +4% vacation pay
Location: Hybrid – Toronto ON, M4W 1E5
• The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to reduce prolonged financial or reputational risk to the business and our fund investors resulting from NAV errors. The candidate will gain exposure in Fund Accounting principles and will network with various internal teams and external NAV Agents.
Typical Day in Role
• Perform next day oversight of previous days NAVs that the business has outsourced to our NAV Agent partners • Identify, investigate, resolve, or escalate all breaks in oversight tools within 24 hours of NAV publication. Be able to independently perform inquiries and seek relevant information from appropriate external and internal parties to adequately finalize investigations.
• Ensure archived packages meet audit standards.
• Exhibit judgement in when dealing with unexpected issues or understanding the materiality behind a flag and determine the optimal amount of work in pursuing the issue.
• Demonstrate an ability to prioritize work and mitigate risk. Be proactive to resolve (or escalate) issues and advance pending inquiries.
MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting with a minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of relevant experience in the Investment industry.
- Strong knowledge of information systems and Microsoft Office suite;
- Experience in fund accounting or investment administration;
- Knowledge of and experience with securities instruments/settlement, foreign exchange, reconciliation, investment accounting and Fund reporting.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- CGA, CMA, CA, CPA or CFA (candidate)
- Bilingual French and English
