Job Description
- Our ED serves patients of all ages and treats patients of every medical and mental health illness.
- Our ED has uniquely built in a 5 bed mental health unit and a dedicated DI cluster to better service our patients.
- Our roaming triage model helps us to quickly triage patients and deploy them to the most appropriate area of the department where they will be treated.
Qualifications
· Current Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
· Current Heart & Stroke Approved BLS Provider Card upon hire.
· Previous Emergency Department experience required
· Experience in triage and in-charge responsibilities required.
· ACLS certificate required at time of hire and ongoing.
· Completion of an on-site sponsored course is required within one year of hire date
· Successful completion of Canadian Emergency Nursing Certification Exam would be an asset
· Successful completion of post-diploma Emergency courses, e.g. TNCC, ENPC, PALS, would be an asset
