We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
· To work collaboratively in a patient centred, integrated team-based practice within a primary care setting.
· To participate in culturally appropriate care of individual patients, practice populations and associated communities.
· To provide comprehensive nursing services and care to patients in the family practice setting.
· The nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to patients of all ages and work with patients with complex health care needs.
· To make professional, competent and autonomous decisions with patients as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
· To act as a nursing resource to other multidisciplinary team members, healthcare institutions and community agencies or programs.
· To ensure accurate, objective and timely clinical documentation in the appropriate medical record.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
· Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
· Current licensure with College & Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta licensure
· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare provider
· Vehicle/license – when appropriate
· Punjabi language skills are an asset for some roles
· Previous experience:
o Primary care setting
o Electronic Medical Record
o Group facilitation/instruction
o Health behaviour change methods (eg Motivational Interviewing)
· Understand the Alberta privacy laws and act according to those laws.
· Should behave responsibly, be accountable and have excellent written and verbal skills, problem solving/critical thinking skills.
· To support the vision and mission of the Primary Care Network.
