We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team
Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse
- Must have current or recent clinical experience of at least two years in the Emergency, I.C.U. or step down units. Preference will be given to candidates with current Emergency nursing experience
- Current BLS certification, ACLS and PALS preferred
- Coronary Care Nursing 1; must be obtained within 1 year of start date
- Demonstrated the ability to competently assess the patient, intervene appropriately.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in emergency situations
- Demonstrated clinical assessment and patient/family teaching skills
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated effective documentation skills
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated a caring, compassionate, customer focused attitude toward patients and family
- Demonstrates a commitment to quality and patient safety, as well as the safety of self and co-workers
- Demonstrated skill and knowledge of I.V. Therapy and venipuncture is required
