Field Engineer Job Description:
CMB Services Inc. is currently searching for a self-motivated Construction Field Engineer to join our growing team. This individual will focus on both Federal and Private Markets throughout the Southeast.
The Field Engineer will work alongside the Project Manager to plan and execute projects for a company. Their duties include identifying clients’ or stakeholders’ project needs and goals, creating a detailed plan to successfully complete a project and organizing and storing project reports and documents.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Knowledgeable of Material Cost, Labor Cost (Estimating).
- Assist in establishing Project Schedule & Ensuring Project remains Safe, On-time, Under-budget,
According to Project Specifications
- Obtains all necessary regulations and permits.
- Assist with ordering necessary supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Makes sure projects are aligned with agreed-upon plans.
- Communicates with clients and delivers project progress reports.
- Develops and adheres to the budget, timeline, and quality control plan.
- Collaborates with architects, engineers, electricians, and other specialists.
- Assists in writing and submitting testing and inspection logs, quality assurance reports, and punch lists.
- Ensures that all local, state, and national building codes and regulations and safety precautions are followed.
- Uses scheduling software to update schedules, track progress, and document project progression.
- Communicate with owner and Home Office on the progress and stage of each project.
- Attends weekly project meetings.
- Builds strong relationships with clients, contractors, and construction workers.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Five plus years of Project Management/Assistant Project Management Experience OR a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science and Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Outreach Training
- Construction Project Management certification
- Experience overseeing projects ranging from $150K-$10M.
- Knows how to use common construction project management software.
- Overnight Travel is required at times
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Federal Construction Experience is Preferred
- Experience building Industrial, Commercial/Institutional Buildings
- Excel at organization, time-management, problem-solving, and budgeting.
- Experience Managing Multiple Ground Up and Interior Renovation Projects Simultaneously.
