Assistant Project Manager Scope of Responsibilities

  • Align with the belief that safety is the number one priority
  • Understand safety hazards and develop site safety plans
  • Ensure that all safety requirements are followed throughout the job site.
  • Assist PM in maintaining Project Financials and Cost Budgeting
  • Order mark out for projects
  • Monitor and control costs throughout the project
  • Support the development, submission and tracking of change orders
  • Track material and labor expenses against quotes
  • Project Scheduling (preferably in MPP format)
  • Work with the PM with site constraints and required project milestone dates
  • Coordinate with PM with the installation crew start dates and monitor progress in comparison to schedule
  • Assist PM with Internal and External Communication (conference calls, emails, project meetings)
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical issues with engineers and site supervisors
  • Understand drawings and be able to effectively communicate design intent
  • Assist PM with communicate in a professional manner with the client in person, through email and over video and phone conferencing
  • Update project status to local and corporate client stakeholders
  • Assist Pm in address client concerns and questions with respect to the project
  • Maintain accurate and organized project documents and records
  • Assist PM with periodic job site inspection
  • Review project initiatives with subcontractors/installers prior to the start of work
  • Monitor job site safety throughout the project
