New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Junior Software Developer to join one of our client’s Employer Art teams. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a strong interest in full-stack development and some experience working with C# .NET and JavaScript. Experience with Angular is a significant asset and highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Perform agile software development activities as part of the team.
- Perform activities in the DevOps lifecycle including creating builds and performing testing.
- Participate in team activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, team retrospectives, and program increment planning.
- Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and stability issues.
- Utilize tools such as Visual Studio for code development, testing and code review.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience working in Software Development.
- Experience with agile methodologies, cloud technologies, DevOps, CI/CD, continuous process improvement, application development, unit testing, defect fixing, and production support.
- Proven ability to participate in the full development lifecycle, including design, development, integration, testing, prototyping, and creating backend and/or frontend components, APIs, or web applications.
- Exposure to complex and integrated IT environments is an asset.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Stack technologies and frameworks, including .NET, C#, JavaScript, SQL, JQuery, Angular 12 and higher, HTML, CSS, XUnit, NUnit, Entity Framework, TDD, Redis Cache, and Git.
- Demonstrated growth mindset and adaptability to new challenges and learning opportunities.
- Holds Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) training and certification (e.g., SAFe Practitioner) or demonstrates a commitment to complete the course and obtain certification within 2 months of starting the role.
