Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Kindergarten students according to district curriculum.

  • Plan lessons tailored to student needs, interests, and abilities.

  • Maintain a safe, engaging, and organized classroom environment.

  • Assess and report on student progress.

  • Guide and manage classroom behavior fairly.

  • Communicate with parents regarding student performance.

  • Collaborate with colleagues, attend meetings, and participate in curriculum development.

  • Supervise teacher aides and volunteers.

  • Implement instructional strategies using various techniques and media.

  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with district policies and state regulations.

  • Administer standardized tests and provide individual and group instruction.

  • Attend professional development to maintain and improve teaching skills.

Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching licensure preferred for Kindergarten.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and technology skills.

  • Commitment to teaching in a racially and culturally diverse environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent sitting, talking, and hearing; occasional walking, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs.

  • Close vision and ability to adjust focus.
