We are seeking to appoint a caring, committed, and experienced Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a pupil with special educational needs (SEN). If you are passionate about making a meaningful impact on a child’s educational journey, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with SEN needs under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO

  • Foster a nurturing and supportive learning environment

  • Support lesson delivery and pupil engagement to ensure good academic progress

  • Liaise effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals

  • Attend relevant review meetings and contribute to the child’s progress planning

  • Maintain accurate records of interventions and progress

  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and ensure the wellbeing of pupils

Person Specification

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience working in a primary school setting, particularly with children who have additional needs

  • Demonstrate strong English and Maths skills

  • Show empathy, patience, and a supportive attitude toward children with SEN

  • Be highly organised and able to work collaboratively with staff and families

  • Possess a positive, proactive, and team-oriented approach

  • Be passionate about helping all children thrive in an inclusive environment
