Join Our Growing Finance Team as a Junior Accountant!

Are you detail-oriented, motivated, and eager to launch your accounting career? We’re looking for a Junior Accountant with a foundational understanding of finance and accounting to join our team and gain valuable hands-on experience. In this role, you’ll support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with month-end closing procedures.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to update accounting records.
  • Assist with the accurate data entry of financial transactions.
  • Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and spreadsheets.
  • Support the team in month-end closing tasks.
  • Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Apply accounting policies to ensure compliance and proper documentation.
  • Assist in analyzing monthly financial reports to identify discrepancies.
  • Help prepare and update prepaids workbooks and analyze monthly accruals.
  • Examine tax policies and documentation and communicate updates.
  • Post transactions and journal entries (with support on complex entries).
  • Assist the team with month-end close activities.
  • Prepare audit documents (SEC reporting experience a plus).
  • Correspond with vendors and other parties via phone and email.
  • Support the accounting team with ad hoc tasks.
  • Organize and monitor premium agreements with vendors.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Desired: BA in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Desired: 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Basic accounting knowledge.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
  • Accurate data entry and financial reporting skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-player mentality.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
  • Ability to work onsite in Rio Vista, CA, Monday through Friday.
  • U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
