Position Overview
The Teacher provides a positive educational environment where students can reach their full intellectual, emotional, physical, and social potential. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering instruction that leads to academic success in alignment with Buckeye Elementary School District policies.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Valid Arizona teaching certificate.

Required endorsements/content-area approvals (depending on assignment).

Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Proficiency with Google applications, email, file management, and electronic grade reporting.

Strong knowledge of subject-area content, learning theories, motivation, evaluation, and feedback techniques.

Ability to:

Assess student progress and adjust curriculum.

Develop, implement, and evaluate instructional plans.

Maintain effective classroom management.

Communicate clearly in writing and speech.

Use 21st-century technology to enhance learning.

Prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Strong skills in promoting learning while ensuring student safety.
Essential Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver lesson plans aligned with curriculum and student needs.

Assess student performance and modify instruction for individual learning differences.

Prepare teaching materials, grades, attendance records, and progress reports.

Establish a positive learning environment with differentiated instruction.

Use classroom management techniques to ensure safety and productivity.

Implement integrated curriculum connecting content meaningfully for students.

Leverage data and technology to monitor and improve student outcomes.

Maintain ongoing communication with parents/guardians about progress, goals, and classroom activities.

Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and community agencies to enhance student learning.

Participate in professional learning communities and staff meetings.

Report incidents (e.g., child abuse, fights, suspected substance use) in compliance with school and district policies.

Supervise and direct paraprofessionals, volunteers, or student assistants.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Evaluation
Performance will be assessed using the Buckeye Elementary School District Teacher Evaluation process.
