Founded in 1981, Dayton Freight is a privately owned, union-free Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) carrier headquartered in Dayton, Ohio. Operating 54 Service Centers across the Midwest, we provide fast and dependable 1-2 day shipping to thousands of locations in 13 states. Through our Strategic Alliance Network, we extend our services throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Guam.

Dock Worker Responsibilities
As a Dock Worker at Dayton Freight, you will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading freight while ensuring safety and damage-free handling. While this role does not involve working inside a warehouse, maximizing space utilization during freight loading is essential.

Perform pre and post-trip inspections on all dock equipment

Accurately document freight control processes

Take part in Dayton Freight’s training and professional development programs

Be available for flexible work schedules, alternating shifts, and varied assignments

Follow all operational procedures and guidelines as outlined in the Dayton Freight Driver/Dockworker Manual
Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old

Basic math skills

Proficiency in English

Ability to pass a drug screening
