Position Summary
The Account Executive is responsible for identifying leads, prospecting, and selling new profitable business within an assigned territory. This role requires selling the full suite of Republic Services products—including solid waste and recycling services, electronic recycling, universal recycling, and total waste stream management solutions.
The Account Executive will meet regularly with prospective clients, deliver tailored sales presentations, and follow up with key decision-makers to close deals while meeting and exceeding monthly revenue goals.
Principal Responsibilities

Identify viable leads, manage prospects, and acquire new commercial, industrial, and recycling business to achieve targeted revenue goals.

Respond to leads within 2 hours and log all activities in Salesforce with detailed follow-up tasks.

Utilize Salesforce daily to manage sales pipeline, schedule activities, and build robust prospect profiles.

Deliver compelling sales presentations and follow up with key stakeholders to close sales.

Conduct scheduled phone blocks and cold call prospecting to secure appointments.

Monitor market behavior and competitive trends to anticipate customer needs.

Maintain knowledge of company services, pricing structures, and additional solutions to maximize revenue opportunities.

Complete contracts, agreements, and reports accurately and on time.

Meet weekly with Sales Manager to review progress, customer activities, and retention goals.

Represent Republic Services at trade shows, chamber of commerce events, and community functions.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior waste management, recycling, or service industry experience.
Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of direct sales experience in a customer-facing role with proven ability to identify and address client needs.

Valid driver’s license required.

Salary Range: $68,320 – $102,480 annually

Bonus/Commission: Eligible for annual sales commission plan (target 40% of base salary)
