Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops and nurtures new business leads from Producers or identifies cross-selling opportunities.

  • Leads the renewal strategy process for existing accounts and strategizes new business approaches.

  • Oversees client account management, coordinating all broker services, including Claims and Loss Control.

  • Delegates responsibilities within the account team, ensuring seamless execution of renewal services, including strategy, submission, brokering, placement, and proposal presentations.

  • Manages market-facing responsibilities, demonstrating expertise in the insurance industry, carrier relationships, and underwriting practices within the assigned territory.

  • Provides day-to-day account servicing and guidance to the account service team on complex matters.

  • Conducts monthly account reviews, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding payables and maintaining account currency.

  • Stays current on industry trends, attending relevant events and carrier engagements.

  • Acts as a technical expert, offering training and support to less experienced team members.

  • Provides mentorship, coaching, and cross-office assistance as needed.

  • Ensures service team stays aligned with deliverables and deadlines.

  • Maintains data integrity within the agency management system, ensuring accurate and complete information entry.

  • Adheres to company policies, procedures, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

  • Performs additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 12+ years of relevant work experience.

  • Completion of Career Path requirements as outlined by the supervisor is encouraged.

  • Background in risk management, underwriting, or other significant insurance-related roles.

  • Possession of a valid insurance license, with ongoing compliance with Continuing Education (CE) requirements for renewal.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational abilities.

  • Proven ability to lead service teams and foster collaboration across functions.

  • Broad business acumen with a deep understanding of clients’ insurance needs.

  • Advanced technical insurance knowledge to provide expert client guidance.

  • High attention to detail, prioritization, and task execution.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
