About the Role
We’re seeking a PLC Sales Engineer to join our Process Systems and Solutions team. This role requires a deep technical understanding of PLC architectures, automation systems, and process control solutions, along with strong sales and relationship-building abilities.
You’ll identify, qualify, and close sales opportunities by leveraging your expertise in industrial automation systems and your understanding of customer challenges.
Key Responsibilities

Demonstrate strong knowledge of PLC-centric architectures and software, including major brands like Emerson, Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Schneider Electric, and GE Fanuc.

Understand PLC integration with broader automation systems such as HMIs, industrial networks, sensors, actuators, and VFDs.

Identify and qualify new sales opportunities while crafting value propositions tailored to customer needs.

Represent ECI and other Emerson business units to ensure complete and successful transactions.

Apply solution selling by mapping customer challenges to multi-product and service-based solutions.

Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships across multiple industries.
Ideal Candidate Profile

Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent industry experience.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of successful sales experience in industrial automation or process control.

Proven ability to sell into complex, large-scale industrial accounts.

Strong consultative selling, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Effective territory and account management abilities.

Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across business units.

Mechanically inclined with a strong work ethic and customer-driven mindset.
