Accountant

As an Accountant at INX, reporting to the Assistant Controller, you will play a vital role in various accounting functions, applying your knowledge of GAAP and internal controls. You’ll work independently, learn new areas, and consistently deliver with urgency and commitment.  

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage the quarterly lease accounting process in accordance with ASC 842, including contract review and data input.  
  • Analyze complex customer contracts to ensure accurate revenue recognition under ASC 606, reconciling revenue accounts and resolving discrepancies.  
  • Prepare financial statements for a foreign entity with subsidiaries, including intercompany eliminations and footnote preparation.  
  • Enter foreign currencies into SAP.  
  • Reconcile multiple bank accounts (in various currencies) and prepare adjusting entries.  
  • Manage customer rebate programs within SAP, including accruals and issuances.  
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and support month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing processes and reporting.  
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports such as sales flash, commissions, claims, and government surveys.  
  • Participate in internal and external audits to ensure JSOX and US GAAP compliance.  
  • Prepare account reconciliations and analyses.
  • Review currency translations.
  • Perform other responsibilities and projects as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (MBA, CPA, or public accounting experience is a plus).  
  • 3-7 years of general accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, financial processes, reporting, and budgeting.
  • Strong proficiency in US GAAP reporting; experience with foreign entities is a plus.  
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong data analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and IBM Cognos Controller.  
  • Exposure to ASC 842 and ASC 606 is highly desired.

What We Offer:

The annual salary range for this role is $72,000 to $83,000, based on your qualifications and location. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, pet insurance, HSA/FSA, 401(k), Paid Volunteer Time Off, and Paid Parental Leave.
