Accountant Opportunity: Make an Impact in a Collaborative Finance Team!
Join our client’s Finance Department as an Accountant and play a key role in their financial operations within a supportive, team-oriented environment. You’ll be responsible for core accounting functions following GAAP, including month/year-end closings and financial analysis, with potential for a hybrid/remote work schedule.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and record journal entries (monthly, quarterly, annually).
- Manage key reconciliations (revenue, cash, prepaids, depreciation, subsidies, accruals).
- Research accounting issues and recommend solutions for complex transactions.
- Prepare and review bank and account reconciliations.
- Participate in annual external audits, preparing analyses and schedules.
- Initiate electronic wires and internal cash transfers.
- Prepare funding requests to government agencies.
- Support and monitor investment portfolio performance.
- Conduct internal reviews to improve financial controls.
What You’ll Need:
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, FASB, and GASB standards.
- Experience with budgeting and projections.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft applications.
- Experience with web-based accounting systems (Yardi or similar).
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
