Core Responsibilities: Plant Accountant
As a Plant Accountant, you will be a key player in analyzing and reporting on the financial performance of our manufacturing plants. Your responsibilities will include:
- Plant Expenditure Analytics & Accruals: Preparing and analyzing monthly accrual entries across various plant accounts, collaborating with operations and finance to ensure accurate cost understanding.
- Monthly Variance Reporting: Developing insightful monthly reports comparing actual costs against forecasts for production and manufacturing expenses, clearly explaining key variances to support operational and financial understanding.
- Account Reconciliations: Ensuring adherence to internal controls by preparing timely and accurate monthly account reconciliations.
- Forecasting & Budgeting: Partnering cross-functionally with plants to develop monthly forecasts and periodic budgets for both fixed and variable costs.
- CWM Yield & Corn Accounting: Preparing and analyzing monthly yield and corn accounting data for accuracy and reasonability within our Corn Wet Milling operations.
- Supplies & Packaging Analysis: Taking ownership of preparing, analyzing, and adjusting inventory/consumption of supplies and packaging to provide clear insights to operations and finance.
- Inventory Management Support: Assisting with physical inventory counts and reconciliations as needed.
- Audit & SOX Compliance: Supporting audit requests and helping to guide data requirements.
- Process Improvement: Periodically reviewing processes to standardize and enhance procedures within the Center of Excellence, leading the implementation of identified improvements.
- Relationship Development: Building strong collaborative relationships with colleagues and managers across all locations to ensure accurate and timely reporting of plant financial performance.
Qualified Candidates Will Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Experience using ERP costing systems (SAP preferred).
- Demonstrated understanding of business processes and cost concepts.
- Proven ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and drive improvements.
- A strong sense of ownership over core responsibilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across different organizational levels.
- Proven proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent prioritization and organizational skills.
- A collaborative work style.
- Adaptability to change and openness to new ideas.
- Flexibility in job responsibilities as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.

Pay Range: $67,520.00 – $90,026.67 Annual (This range is indicative and final salary will be based on various factors.)
Incentive Compensation: This role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific bonus.
