Accountant – Operations Finance (Greene, NY)
Join The Raymond Corporation (a Toyota Industries company) in Greene, NY, as an Accountant within our Operations Finance Team. This is an in-office, first-shift position offering growth, on-site training, and potential for occasional remote work after training.
About the Role:
You’ll be integral to the Operations Finance Department, providing financial insights through accounting data analysis, preparing journal entries, and compiling reports. Your responsibilities will include analyzing inventory transactions and costing variances, collaborating across departments to solve problems and improve processes.
You Will:
- Assist with month-end closing, including journal entries and management reports.
- Reconcile daily inventory balances and resolve discrepancies.
- Analyze and research costing variances (material usage, price, yield).
- Identify and implement process and reporting improvements.
- Cross-train within the Operations Finance team.
- Maintain internal controls and data integrity (GAAP).
- Handle sensitive issues with discretion and judgment.
- Perform ad-hoc projects.
About You:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly accurate with strong attention to detail.
- Action-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
- 2+ years of professional Accounting or Finance experience.
It Would Be Great If You Had:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP preferred, SOx, IAS, IFRS a plus).
- Some related accounting experience, especially in manufacturing.
- Strong Excel skills (formulas, charts, macros).
Total Compensation Package:
- Salary: $65,000 – $75,100 per year (based on experience and education).
