About the Role:
This exciting opportunity for an Investment Accountant will support the Senior Finance Manager in daily operations and be responsible for preparing management accounts for our UK property subsidiaries. We seek a qualified accountant with property accounting experience who is self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible. A hands-on, detail-oriented approach is essential, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a large UK property portfolio.
- Review and control company-level NOI and balance sheet.
- Process accruals and prepayments.
- Liaise with external advisors (auditors, property managers) to ensure accurate and timely local accounting information.
- Prepare quarterly management accounts according to group deadlines.
- Prepare annual statutory accounts (IFRS or UK GAAP).
- Accurately report on property disposals and profit on sale.
- Prepare acquisition entries.
- Manage upstream mechanics on UK distributions and ensure cash position accuracy.
- Approve invoices and ensure correct accounting treatment.
- Prepare and submit UK VAT returns.
- Provide accurate financial information to assist asset managers in commercial decision-making.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects.
What You’ll Bring:
- Fully qualified or part-qualified (finalist) accountant.
- Prior property accounting experience.
- REIT and Yardi experience desirable.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Dynamic, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work independently.
