Role Overview
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable & Finance Administrator to join our growing Finance team in the UK. This role is key to ensuring smooth billing operations, accurate financial reporting, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities

Raise and send accurate, timely sales invoices to clients

Apply incoming payments and maintain customer accounts
-
Monitor aged debt, follow up on overdue payments, and manage credit control
-
Resolve customer billing issues, disputes, and queries
-
Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end close
-
Generate AR reports, aged debt analysis, and cash collection forecasts
-
Ensure compliance with GDPR and internal financial controls
-
Support audits and assist with documentation and procedural improvements
-
Maintain and update customer contracts and statements
-
Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professional credit practices
-
Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
-
GCSEs (A–C) or equivalent in Maths and English
-
AAT qualified or part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA) or equivalent experience
-
Hands-on experience in accounts receivable or finance admin roles
-
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivot tables)
-
Working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. SAP, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
Desirable:
-
Experience in a client-facing or professional services setting
-
Knowledge of financial legislation, GDPR, and internal controls
Skills & Attributes:

High attention to detail, with strong numeracy and analytical skills

Clear, professional communication and interpersonal skills

Highly organised, proactive, and able to work under pressure

Strong team player who can also work independently

Adaptable and tech-savvy with a drive to improve systems and processes
